Finland seem to be Wales' only serious rivals in their qualifiying group, and Stuart Baxter's Finnish team will be no pushovers in Cardiff. The Finns have had a mixed start to their campaign, but coach Baxter has managed to secure the continued service of names such as Sami Hypia and aging stalwart Jari Litmanen to boost their campaign.
The Welsh have lost away to Germany and Russia already in their campaign, which has negated the good work done in defeats of Azerbaijan and Leichtenstein. They will be looking to kick start their progress in the group with a good victory here, but manager John Toshack is worried about the fitness of key player Craig Bellamy, who is convinced this game will make or break Wales' chances of qualification.
Scotland face a very stern test this weekend as George Burley takes his troops to Amsterdam to face the might of Bert van Marwijk's Holland side, who are currently ranked 3rd in the world. The Dutch have looked ominous in winning their opening three games, and have conceded only once whilst going so. Scotland have been less impressive, having posted a win, a draw and a loss from their first three games. Not many punters will be expecting much from this trip, but will at least hope to avoid the 6-0 thrashing that the Dutch dished out to the Scots back in 2003.
